This historic beach cottage, perched directly on the sand in Montecito's exclusive Miramar neighborhood, offers an unparalleled coastal retreat. A five-minute stroll down the beach leads you to the luxurious Rosewood Miramar Resort, where you can enjoy spa treatments, beach services, and dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Downtown Santa Barbara, with its award-winning restaurants and shopping, is just a short drive away.
Dating back to the early 1900s, this home was originally a "day shack" where beachgoers sought refuge from the summer heat. The upper level boasts a unique pitched ceiling and skylights, with large bay windows framing stunning ocean views. The Living and Dining Rooms flow seamlessly together, anchored by an open kitchen that extends to a deck with glass railings for unobstructed vistas.
The lower-level rooms are designed to evoke the feel of a yacht's staterooms, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Please note that the third guest room with bunk beds is accessed through the second guest bedroom—an ideal setup for families, though not suitable for couples traveling together.
While certain seasons and weather patterns may affect the sand directly in front of the home, a short walk will lead you to a sandy spot to kick back and relax.
Even though the listing photos show a fireplace, please note that it is non-functioning and not available for use.

by KathyThe place was nicely decorated, beds comfortable and kitchen fully stocked. A close drive into downtown Santa Barbara. We loved the relaxation and the sound of the waves. Saw seals and dolphins. Our only wish was for a staircase to take you to the beach since there are a lot of rocks to cross and this is hard for the elderly and young kids. But overall we loved the place and would stay again.

by SabrinaThe views from this home are spectacular! You can’t beat being right on the sand. Short drive to downtown SB and 5 min from Montecito country mart, restaurants and San Ysidro Ranch. Walkable distance to the Rosewood resort as well. Comfortably fits two couples and a small kid with two full baths. Highly recommend!!

Amazing Location with Secure Parking & Beach Access
by NickGreat house amazing location and parking is great. We were so hesitant because we weren’t sure on the parking situation but it turns out there’s plenty of space for two vehicles. It’s gated so your parking is very secure and there’s a shortcut to get to the Rosewood Miramar literally the waves splash right to the footing of the home so it is in an amazing location.

Very comfortable beds that were amplified by the waves crashing literally beneath the lower deck (amazing)! by LyndaThis property was just lovely. We arrived at high tide and it felt like we were practically in the ocean. The house is unique and beautifully decorated in a way that reflects the area. Updated appliances and bathrooms. There were views from every window. It was minutes away from the Rosewood Miramar Beach Hotel where we dined at Caruso's, a Michelin Star restaurant. There are other great dining places nearby, as well. If you have the opportunity to stay at this beautiful house, don't hesitate......it's worth it.
