Walking distance to State Street Promenade and downtown Santa Barbara, this charming 3-bedroom / 2-bathroom cottage with a private detached master suite has recently been completely remodeled by Kauai's top Architect and his wife to reflect the warmth and charm of this 1920's cottage.
The home features vaulted ceilings in a well-equipped kitchen, open space living and dining room, lots of outdoor living areas, and a wonderfully private detached master suite. Both king beds and a queen have fine linens and all furniture and decor are new and were thoughtfully appointed with health and comfort in mind.
You'll find some of the finest dining within a five-minute walk and be close to the Wharf and Santa Barbara's best beaches. A perfect home to share with loved ones.

Girls 60th weekend getaway

The house was perfect for our stay. Great location, only a few blocks away from State St shopping/dining area. The house is adorable and very comfortable. The two bedrooms in the main house share a bathroom that is very spacious and has a roomie stand-up shower and washer/dryer closet. The third bedroom is detatched from the house and nice and private. All of the beds were comfy and the outdoor patio was perfect for gathering for meals/pre-gaming. If you are bringing a car- would not recommend anything too large as the opening from the front gate to the driveway is somewhat narrow however we had a mid-size SUV and just needed to really pay attention when backing out of the drive. Otherwise, a perfect home to rent to enjoy all that SB has to offer.

I chose this home as my daughter was getting married in Santa Barbara on 5/6. The home was exactly as it is pictured! It was just lovely! The guest house master was where my daughter stayed the night before the wedding, and the morning of was wonderful! The surfboards outside made a wonderful backdrop for pictures, and the guest master was perfect for “the grand reveal” to her bridesmaids. I would definitely stay here again! We had a fabulous time and would recommend highly! If I'm ever back in Santa Barbara, I would love to stay there again!! Thank you!

This charming house and additional bedroom cottage was the perfect place to stay while visiting Santa Barbara to celebrate my mom's birthday. My family stayed in this cottage for a wedding at the SB County Courthouse and we had a great time. The house was clean and well appointed. Beds/linens and sectional sofa were very comfortable and kitchen was extremely well stocked. We appreciated that the house had generous seating/hang out spaces for the amount of people the house accommodates (not always the case in Airbnbs) between the sectional, generous dining table and outdoor spaces. Even though the weather was cooler than normal we enjoyed time on the back porch and freeway/street noise was barely noticeable. Although walkable to State St. the blocks are long, but there are many parking lots downtown so if walking isn't your thing and you have a car you have options! Highly Recommend.

Great Stay!

This house is so quaint! It was very clean and had tons of natural sunlight. I absolutely loved how it was decorated and appreciated the 1920s local photos of SB. It was really cool to see the old pictures and then see those buildings still thriving while we walked downtown. The house was within walking distance to State Street which includes tons of restaurants and shops. The beds were very comfortable. It was great to have nice cookware and the air fryer/ toaster oven was amazing! The back patio was the perfect place to relax and soak up the sunshine. The only negative was that the wifi was hit or miss in the detached master suite. It wasn't a real problem, just had to move around a little to get the signal. Overall I absolutely loved this house and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Pictures are very accurate. It was impeccably clean with 2 lovely bedrooms with large comfortable beds off the family room. Lovely coach house/bedroom with king bed and separate bath and very nice outdoor deck with nice furniture. Close to State Street and waterfront. Highly recommend this home for 3-4 people.

This was a wonderful house, with a picturesque front yard in a great neighborhood. The backyard was also great -- we had a dog and it was well fenced, with plenty of places to lounge, dine, and hang out. We are foodies, so the kitchen was perfect --well outfitted and easy for four people to work together. Gas bbq also served us well. Outside the main house, my husband and I stayed in the "surf shack" -- which was a great getaway. The management folks were super responsive and when temperatures rose over 100 degrees for several days, they delivered room fans. We would stay here again in a heartbeat over the winter or spring months.

The house has everything you need for a short or long stay as you enjoy Santa Barbara and the surrounding area! It is perfect for a small family or sharing with friends. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The outdoor space is so lovely and we found ourselves enjoying it every chance we got! The location is perfect for walking to coffee shops, restaurants, shops, etc. and just a short drive to downtown. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend!

This property was so tastefully and comfortably decorated! It was walking distance from State street and an easy drive to the beach or highway for excursions. We love that it had driveway parking. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to make meals but it was close enough to many restaurants. Perfect for a family of 5!

This is the perfect property if you want to explore Santa Barbara and the surrounding area. The bungalow was in walking distance to the beach or the main area of SB’s restaurants and shops. The home itself was so comfortable for our group of 3 couples. It felt cozy and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the bedding linens and towels were great also. Our favorite was the outdoor area… a patio with a big table for our happy hours and a deck with a nice couch and chairs to relax on. We have stayed in many rental homes, but this one will be at the top of our list of favorites.

Good location. You'll need a car or uber to everywhere. Very nice home in nice neighborhood. The kitchen is well equipped, beds really comfortable. We gad everything we needed! Love the vintage shops on State St and had a lovey afternoon at the Harbor. Plenty to do! A great stay on our PCH tour.

We had such a relaxing stay! The kitchen is well equipped and we especially loved the set up of the little back house. The setup is perfect if you are traveling with people who have different sleep schedules, as was the case with our group. The neighborhood is cute and great to walk around in. We are already planning our next trip!

Beautiful vacation home

We loved staying at this house. It is so charming and it was immaculately clean. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything that you would need. We did not cook much though since the restaurants were within easy walking distance. The linens were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. There is a great private outdoor space with a picnic table and comfy deck furniture near the grill. We would definitely stay here again.

Awesome spring break

We had a wonderful week visiting our freshman college student at UCSB. Very comfortable house with modern design just like my house at home. Kitchen was very well equipped for cooking . We had college students over for dinner and my mother in law cooked up an Indian feast . My husband said it is much more relaxing and like being home while on vacation when staying in a house over a hotel!! Great location able to walk to restaurants we chose for dinner on two of the nights. Outdoor patio and deck was a great space to hang out and entertain . We will definitely stay here again.

Newly renovated and stylish house that is conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Santa Barbara. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. The house is adorable with 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - perfect for a family or group of friends. The 3rd bedroom with bathroom is actually located in the guest house, located a few steps from the backyard deck. The kitchen is large and has all the essentials. The house was super clean and we will definitely rent again when we visit Santa Barbara.
