by JamesAbsolutely beautiful property that is the definition of ultra-luxury - and it's incredibly walkable to beaches, State Street and the Funk Zone, not to mention private! The upstairs includes a generously spaced living area, along with a desk area and a gourment kitchen, with patios flanking both sides of the condo, giving the property a European feel. Up on the private roof terrace, I witnessed the gorgeous views Santa Barbara has to offer of the mountains, the Rivieria, downtown, the palm trees, and just a peak of the ocean. As an SB native, this was a wonderful departure of the norm, and the amenities (including the private rooftop terrace) must be seen to be believed. I will be coming back again!

Stay at 207 Bath Street

We recently stayed at 207 Bath Street in Villa Portofino for my 50th birthday weekend. I would highly recommend staying at this location when in Santa Barbara. It is walking distance to State Street restaurants, the wine trail and Stearn's wharf. The unit was very clean, easy to access and had all the of the amenities we required. The private rooftop patio was particularly enjoyable. It was also much less expensive than staying at a local hotel. We will definitely be booking this location on our next family trip to Santa Barbara!

We had a fantastic, peaceful stay as a couple with our dog. The layout is well thought out with private decks on each end of the unit plus a roof garden so patio doors can stay open for fresh breezes at all times. A common area at the back of the unit provides a great area for pet relief. The character and detailing is true to the Santa Barbara Spanish Revival aesthetic, while the location is convenient for easy walks to State St. We hope to return soon!

The apartment is beautiful! Its located on a quiet street and has amazing views from the roof. The garage opens directly next to the apartment stairs. The lower floor has 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms. The floor above is the living room and contains another half bathroom. The apartment itself is well decorated and pretty. The roof is stunning!

What a gorgeous Santa Barbara retreat! Beautiful and so well located just mins walk to the beach and a 10-min walk to State Street and the Funk Zone. The roof deck is such a highlight - be it for dinner or even late night drinks by the fire. Would definitely stay again!

The Villa Portofino looked good online and so we and another couple rented it for a 7 day period. WE loved it! It is well located with easy walk to beach and wharf, as well as to convenience stores and gas stations. We were there for Paragliding at Elings Park and it turned out to be a very easy and short drive every morning to the park. The beds were comfortable, security very tight, and even a parking garage indoors. We look forward to returning in the future. No complaints.

Superb Accommodations!

The 6 in my family who shared these accommodations are simple folks with middle class, Midwest lifestyles. Villa Portofino made us feel like we were living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. Better yet was the fact that it was truly affordable (as we split it 3 ways). Its Mediterranean decor, beautiful kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and balconies were beyond our expectations. We rented a car, but you would easily do this trip without one. So many things were within walking distance of Villa Portofino and if you want to venture out, Uber is always an option. I would highly recommend this as your home away from home.

We loved staying at this villa, was better in person than photo's showed. We loved all the patio's, especially the roof top terrace. The rooms were large, bedding was great, (soft towels, like a high end hotel) and the house was immaculate. We have a graduation next spring and will be renting Villa Portofino again!

The house is beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The location was great, we could walk to the beach, fish market, downtown and grocery. The only negative would be the third bedroom with the trundle bed, does not work for adults. We had to get an air mattress for the two in that bedroom.

This was a great rental for us. We love to cook so the kitchen was great. The roof deck was probably my husband's favorite part. We were three couples and had plenty of space to hang out. The location is perfect! Easy walk to everything on State St and also close to the beach. The only down side is that one of the beds is a trundle. I thought it was more of sofa-bed, so that was a little disappointing for one of the couples. But for a family with kids, I'm sure it would be fine.

Just stayed for a long weekend. The condo and location were excellent. Comfortable, clean, and quiet. The location is a little far to walk to downtown, but a nice walk to the beach, pier, and harbor which we did every morning. Quiet neighborhood - didn't hear a thing at night even with windows open. The rooftop patio made for great breakfast and after dinner drinks under the stars.

Great weekend get-a-way!

We arrived for an extended holiday weekend and had a wonderful time visiting with our adult family. The place accommodates 6 nicely with plenty of room for people to sit around and visit in the living room, kitchen or upstairs on the private outside patio on top of the building (very fun spot to hang out with the gas fireplace and lots of comfortable furniture!). Only thing we would recommend is that it would be nice for the 3rd bedroom to have a regular queen size bed instead of the twin bed with a trundle that pulls up to make a queen size bed. Had a great weekend!

Had a great weekend recently. Thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, including the fully stocked kitchen and the upstairs patio seating area. Great view of the harbor.
Note that the unit is vertically inclined, with three sets of stairs to go from floor to floor, so if mobility is an issue, this may not be the place for you.

Home is perfect and has such a wonderful Spanish vacation home vibe. We packed so much extra stuff only to find this home add practically everything! Beach towels, iron, blowdryer, air beds, and all things kitchen. You will not be disappointed with the location, the views, and most of all how clean everything was! We would stay again.

This is a stunning condo/townhouse with a three minute walk to the beach and ten minute walk to the heart of State Street, located in a quiet neighborhood with a private garage and gated entry. It couldn't have been more perfect for our Mother-Daughter weekend. If we hadn't wanted to get out and experience Santa Barbara, we could have just stayed in and enjoyed the amazing kitchen, spacious accommodations, and fabulous roof deck and been very happy. Hope to make it an annual trek.

Amazing Vacation in Beautiful SB!!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Portofino this past weekend. The home was beautiful! Much bigger than it actually looked online. The rooms were comfortable, we loved the fireplaces, and the terrace was a fabulous bonus to grill and hang out on to enjoy the gorgeous weather in Santa Barbara. The entire group loved the stay so much, that we'd love to make it an annual destination.
Also it was such a nice touch to come in on Thursday night to a nice bottle of red wine! Definitely made the 6 hour drive to Santa Barbara worth it.
We loved the Villa Portofino and will recommend it to friends & family. Thank you!

Great Location. Very Very Nice Townhome Style Condo

The pictures accurately depict this lovely home. The furnishings are beautiful. The highly upgraded kitchen is very well stocked. We had a couple of small glitches when we arrived but the management company responded very quickly and nicely. Location is a few blocks from the beach and 2 blocks from State Street and Stearns Wharf. A great Mexican hole in the wall restaurant (counter service) is a half block away. Roof deck rocks. Come stay at Villa Portofino with confidence. The neighborhood is ok/fine. Enclosed parking spot was great.
